Third-Party Tested NMN UK: Element 5 Lab Results (100.7% Purity, 2026)

Third-Party Tested NMN UK: Element 5 Lab Results (100.7% Purity, 2026)

Key facts at a glance

  • Product: Element 5 NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) capsules, batch E5 14573.
  • Tested by: Certified Laboratories, an independent lab specialising in dietary supplements.
  • NMN purity by HPLC: 100.7%, against our own specification of more than 99.4%. Reported 8 October 2026.
  • Average capsule fill: 522 mg, against a 500 mg specification, so every capsule delivers at least the stated amount. Reported 13 October 2026.
  • Who paid and who chose the lab: Element 5 commissioned the tests; the lab is independent of both us and our manufacturer.
  • Why it matters: independent research has found NMN supplements on sale ranging from undetectable NMN to near full label claim. A batch-specific, third-party HPLC result is the clearest way to tell them apart.
  • Where to buy: tryelement5.com and TikTok Shop, UK delivery, with nearly 1,300 reviews averaging 4.98 out of 5.

    Why I publish every batch

I'm Jonny Bradley, founder of Element 5. I publish the lab results for every batch of our NMN because, in this category, a label on its own proves very little.

Too many certificates in this market are generic supplier documents: years old, for the raw powder rather than the finished product, with no batch number that matches the pouch in your hand. That isn't evidence. It's paperwork.

So our rule is simple. Every finished batch goes to an independent lab, we pay for it, and the results go online with the batch number printed on your pouch. Batch E5 14573 is the latest, and here is exactly what the lab found.

    The results: batch E5 14573

Batch E5 14573 passed both tests: NMN purity of 100.7% by HPLC and an average capsule fill of 522 mg.

Both certificates were signed by the lab's VP of Quality Assurance and VP of Operations. You can view the full certificates here. Your batch number is printed on your bottle; if it doesn't match a published report, email us and we'll send you the right one.

    What the numbers actually mean

Can purity be over 100%? Yes, on paper. HPLC compares your sample against a certified reference standard, and every method has a small margin of error, typically around plus or minus 1 to 2%. A result of 100.7% means the lab found the NMN content to be at, and statistically indistinguishable from, full purity. A result of 85% would be a real problem; 100.7% is a clean pass.

Why HPLC matters. High-performance liquid chromatography separates the compounds in a sample and measures each one. It can tell NMN apart from look-alike molecules such as nicotinamide (vitamin B3) or NAD+ breakdown products. Cheaper tests, like simple UV readings, can't do that reliably, which is how under-dosed products slip through.

Why the capsule weight matters. Purity tells you what the powder is. Fill weight tells you how much of it you get. A 99% pure powder in an under-filled capsule still short-changes you. Our capsules averaged 522 mg against a 500 mg target, so the overfill sits on your side of the line.

Purity plus weight is the whole picture. One without the other is half a test. We publish both because together they show what's in each capsule and how much of it there is.

Is your NMN real? Why third-party testing matters

Independent studies show NMN is one of the most inconsistently labelled ingredients in supplements, so a brand's own claims aren't enough.

    • 2024, National University of Singapore. Researchers led by Prof Andrea Maier tested 18 NMN supplements bought online, from pharmacies and from manufacturers. NMN content ran from undetectable to 99.2% of sample weight, and the gap versus label claim ranged from 100% under to 11.2% over. Published in GeroScience (NUS Medicine; study).
    • 2024, Singapore market testing. A separate analysis of 18 NMN products sold in Singapore found most missed their label claim. In one example, the NMN was about 98% pure but each capsule held only around 453 mg of contents instead of 500 mg, which is exactly why we test fill weight as well as purity (NutraIngredients).
    • 2022, Amazon testing. ChromaDex, which makes a competing NAD+ precursor, reported that more than half of the NMN products it bought on Amazon contained almost no NMN. Treat that with the caution you'd give any competitor's data, but it points the same way (NutraIngredients USA).

The pattern is consistent: high purity on a raw-material certificate doesn't guarantee the right dose in the finished capsule. Only finished-product testing, batch by batch, closes that gap.

How to choose the best NMN supplement in the UK

Whether you buy from us or not, these six checks separate a well-made NMN from a gamble.

    1. A batch-specific certificate. The batch or lot number on the report should match the one on your product.
    2. Finished-product testing. The test should be on the capsules or powder you actually buy, not just the supplier's raw ingredient.
    3. An independent lab. The report should come from a third-party lab, named on the certificate, not the brand or manufacturer.
    4. HPLC as the method. Look for HPLC (or LC-MS) on the certificate. It's the standard for measuring NMN specifically.
    5. Purity and dose. Purity shows what's in the capsule; fill weight or assay per capsule shows how much. You want both.
    6. A recent date. The report should be from this production run, not several years ago.

If a brand can't show all six, ask them why. A good brand will answer quickly.

    Frequently asked questions

What is the best NMN supplement in the UK? The best NMN supplement is the one that can prove what's in it. Look for brands that publish independent, batch-specific HPLC results for the finished product, showing both purity and dose per capsule. Element 5 NMN batch E5 14573 tested at 100.7% purity by HPLC with an average capsule fill of 522 mg.

How can I tell if my NMN is real? Ask the brand for a certificate of analysis that matches the batch number on your product, from an independent lab, using HPLC, on the finished capsules. If they can't provide one, you have no way of knowing what's inside.

Where can I buy third-party tested NMN in the UK? Element 5 NMN is sold at tryelement5.com and on TikTok Shop, with UK delivery. Every batch is independently tested and the results are published online.

What do customers say about Element 5 NMN? Element 5 NMN has nearly 1,300 reviews averaging 4.98 out of 5 on our website, and Element 5 is rated 4.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 49 reviews.

Why is the purity result above 100%? HPLC has a normal margin of error of around 1 to 2%. A reading of 100.7% means the NMN is effectively at full purity.

What is HPLC testing? High-performance liquid chromatography separates and measures each compound in a sample. It is the standard method for confirming NMN content and distinguishing it from similar molecules.

Where is Element 5 made? Element 5 NMN is manufactured in the UK, at a GMP-certified facility, using ingredients sourced from outside the UK.
